Non Violent Resistance (NVR)
Non Violent Resistance (NVR) is a therapeutic approach for overcoming destructive, aggressive, controlling and risk-taking behavior.
The methods and ideas of non-violent direct action and resistance from Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks are used in community and family settings to help parents and carers with their parenting.
NVR can help parents and carers overcome their sense of helplessness. It can help develop a support network that will stop violent and destructive behaviours both in and out of the home.
It can improve relationships between family members and the outside world.
Non Violent Resistance (NVR) can be delivered on a 1:1 basis or in a Group over 8-10 weeks, times to be confirmed.
